Thing 23

This was an experience---I have really never been afraid of technology and since I have a computer at home, I run into new things all the time. I had already used You Tube, different photo editing, downloading sites, Facebook, etc. but there is so much out there that I didn't know! I will explore some further-web-based apps, image generators, and flikr to name a few.

It is good to be able to know what people are talking about when they "tweet" and "blog". I will probably keep up my blog or maybe start a new one for my personal use. I will probably not use twitter or googletalk and I use the chat feature in my facebook to talk to people that I actually know!

The downside is this took alot of time and it was challenging to accomplish my work, but I did learn alot. Thanks to those who put this together.

Thing 22

Podcasts-I have listened to Poscasts in the past but this gave me a chance to actually search for some that I would have never thought of. I added Book Talk to my bloglines and also found a poscast for the Nebraska huskers! I listened to a little of the poscast produced by the Lincoln City Library-that is really interesting and a different way to get book reviews out to the public. We have weekly book reviews in our local paper, but everyone does not subscribe to the paper, so this might be an avenue to try!

Thing 21.2

Family having fun "swing dancing" at the wedding dance.

Thing 21.1

My brother singing a song he wrote for the bride when she was born with a new verse added for her wedding!

Thing 21

You Tube-I have had an account at You Tube since July-I actually uploaded some video of my family at my nieces wedding so everyone could see it in my family right away (I had just started a facebook acct and hadn't explored all the possibilities there yet). Also, people didn't have to have an account in order to view it. So, I chose a video of my one of my nieces (the bride's sister) singing at the wedding to add to my blog.
I search You Tube every once in awhile to see what's new out there and also see some of my favorite singers in concert "free".

Thing 20

I opened an accout with My Heritage-it looks easy to use and I will explore it further. I use Family Tree Maker at home but this of course has a different format. It will be fun to upload pics, etc and try it out more. I also looked at Biblio.com. I use addall.com looking for prices on out of print books and this gives another place to check. It will be interesting to see how they compare.

Thing 19

There are some amazing templates on Google Docs - this is something I will definitely spend more time in the future looking at! I started a scrapbook and uploaded a couple files to my page-this will be something that I may use at home also-it would be nice to be able to access a couple of my documents when I am gone from home!

Thing 18

PB wiki's are kind of interesting-it's kind of fun to see what other people like doing, watching, reading, etc. but I don't think this is anything I would take time to use right now. I guess it could be used internally to add ideas for a topic or something like that.
